1. Have a flashlight with batteries in addition to a rechargable-type flashlight
2. Gallon of water per 2 people
3. Matches and candles;
4. Blanket
5. Cellphone charging battery pack
6. Propane for grill
7. Igloo cooler for critical items, fill ziploc with ice and place in cooler
8. Tarp
9. Duct tape
10. Gloves, Ziploc bags
11. Tuna or some pop-top type food (MREs)
12. Keep spare 5 gallon of gas and rotate in with lawn tools
Check kit every 2-3 years to replenish/replace expired items
Store kit in cool dry place not prone to floods
